Still going!
Home Alone 2: Lost In New York Dir. Chris Columbus Writ. John Hughes Stars: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern Rated PG 120 mins. Comedy IMDB 6.5
Home Alone 2, which is pretty much Home Alone but with extra terrible parents!
In this one, Kevin makes it to the airport but… gets on the wrong plane.
And his parents don’t notice until they land and go through baggage claims and he’s not there to claim his bags.
He ends up in New York City instead of the intended Miami for Christmas this time, and low and behold, his adventure in the big city is foiled by running into the old burglar crew from the first film after they’ve bused out of prison. In a fast paced, exciting film that includes the amazing inclusion of Tim Curry to make it all even funnier, Home Alone 2 doesn’t disappoint like some would expect after the hilarity that was Home Alone. Also, it leaves us with the ever-hilarious and universally identifiable quote, “That was the sound of a tool chest falling down the stairs.” Never fails to make me snicker.
My Rating: 7/10
