Tower of Terror (1997)

 IMDB: 6.2

I love this movie!

It’s a Disney TV movie from my childhood and it’s just awesome. Tower of Terror is one of the greater Disney movies for sure.

Based of the Disney World ride of the same name, Tower of Terror tells the story of a cheesy, ‘the President is an alien!!!’ journalist, Buzzy Crocker (Steve Guttenberg), who wants to go legit. When an old woman claiming to know what actually happened to Sally Shine, the child actress sweetheart who went missing with an elevator full of other people at a hotel in 1939, Buzzy has the story he needs to break to get back into real journalism. When he and his niece Anna (Kirsten Dunst) go to the hotel where it all happened, they encounter a situation that hadn’t expected: the hotel is haunted by the ghosts of those who disappeared from that elevator.

It’s not a GREAT movie, of course, but it’s so cute and it’s actually really moving. The real story of what happened is really sad, the end is very happy, and Q is absolutely hilarious. I love it!

There isn’t that much to say besides this is a great family movie, a great Disney movie, and a great fun and easy movie to watch.

My Rating: 7/10

I thought I was the only person who knew of this movie. Good to know that someone else liked it as a child.
